Point Loma Lighthouse
Point Loma Lighthouse is 462 feet above the water and is painted white with green trim.
The buildings and grounds are maintained by the U.S. Park Service and include a small museum and gift shop.

Cabrillo was the first European to navigate the west coast of North America. He landed at several locations along the California coast.
Cabrillo was born in 1499 and he died in 1543. He was Portuguese, but he sailed for Spain.
