Pomegranates Are Red


  • Pomegranates are red. They have a tough outer skin.

  • Pomegranates grow on woody vines.

  • People peel the outside skin of the pomegranate and eat the soft, juicy insides along with the seeds.


Strawberries Are Red


  • Strawberries are red. They have small yellow seeds on the outside.

  • Strawberries grow on strawberry plants.

  • Strawberries taste delicious on vanilla ice cream or in jams.


Watermelons Are Geeen on the Outside and Red on the Inside


  • The outside rind of a watermelon is green with yellow and black stripes. The inside is red with black seeds.

  • They grow on vines that are on the ground.

  • People cut the watermelon in slices before eating the insides. They don't eat the rind.
