Fruits are good for your health. They grow on trees, bushes, vines, and plants. People should eat three or more servings of fruits each day. Fruits have vitamins, minerals, and fiber. Fruits are sold in grocery stores, farmers' markets, and at roadside stands. (6 pages)

Apples are Red, Green, or Yellow


  • Apples are round fruits. They grow on apple trees.

  • Apples can be red, green, or yellow.

  • Apples taste great in pies and cakes. Many people eat apples raw.


Bananas Turn From Green to Yellow


  • Bananas are long and yellow.

  • Bananas grow in bunches on banana plants.

  • Some people cut up a banana and put it in their cold cereal with milk.
