Numbers are used for counting. When we need to know "how many" we count. Numbers can be written with letters or with numerals. It's important to memorize some numbers like those in your address or your phone number. This ESL lesson introduces the numbers 1-20. It is an easy English lesson for literacy students. (7 pages)

  • 1 - one
  • Zero comes before one. Zero means none.
  • Sentence: There is only one apple on the table.


2 - two


  • 2 - two
  • Sentence: People have two eyes.
