Utah's state tree is the blue spruce.
The blue spruce is a medium sized evergreen tree. It has sharp blue-gray needles and red or violet cones that turn brown after they are pollinated.
Blue spruces grow along streams in mountain valleys.
Salt Lake Temple
Salt Lake Temple is in Temple Square in Salt Lake City. It was the fourth temple built in Utah by The Church of Latter-day Saints. The temple took 40 years to build and was dedicated on April 6, 1893.
Most residents of Utah are Mormons, or members of the LDS Church.
