  • Utah's state tree is the blue spruce.


  • The blue spruce is a medium sized evergreen tree. It has sharp blue-gray needles and red or violet cones that turn brown after they are pollinated.


  • Blue spruces grow along streams in mountain valleys.

  • Salt Lake Temple is in Temple Square in Salt Lake City. It was the fourth temple built in Utah by The Church of Latter-day Saints. The temple took 40 years to build and was dedicated on April 6, 1893.


  • Most residents of Utah are Mormons, or members of the LDS Church.

  • Tourists visit Utah to hike in its canyons, camp, and take photographs.


  • Utah is home to Bryce Canyon National Park, Bridal Veil Falls, Zion National Park, and many more natural wonders.
