Lake Tahoe is located on the border of California and Nevada. It is a large freshwater lake with very clear clean water. The lake is surrounded by mountains and pine trees. In the winter, tourists visit the area to go skiing and snowmobiling. In the summer, they go hiking and mountain biking. (3 pages)

  • It is located on the California-Nevada border in the Sierra Nevada Mountains.


  • Two-thirds of the Lake Tahoe shoreline is located in California and the other one-third is located in Nevada.
