  • The capital of Colorado is Denver. Denver is also the most populated city in the state.


  • Devner is located in the northern part of the state.
  • Colorado's capitol building has a gold dome.

 

Big Horn Sheep - The State Animal of Colorado

  • Colorado's state animal is the Big Horn Sheep.


  • Male Big Horn Sheep have large horns that are curved. Females have shorter horns that are less curved.


  • Male sheep are called "rams" and females are called "ewes".

 

Lark Bunting - State Bird of Colorado

Lark Bunting

  • Colorado's state bird is the Lark Bunting.


  • Lark Buntings eat insects and seeds.


  • The male birds are larger than females.
