  • Most forget-me-nots are blue, but some are white or pink.

  • Alaska's state bird is the willow ptarmigan.

  • Willow ptarmigans have brown feathers that turn white in the winter.

  • Willow ptarmigans are vegetarians and male birds are larger than the females.
