When was Labor Day created?

  • It was created in 1882 by the Central Labor Union.
  • In the late 1880s and early 1900s, Labor Day was closely associated with trade and labor unions.
  • Unions were formed to protect and expand the rights of workers.

 

Barbecue - BBQ

What do most people do on Labor Day?

  • Most people have a barbecue on Labor Day.
  • Many people attend picnics or go to the beach with family and friends.
  • Unfortunately, some people have to work on Labor Day.

 

Football Fans

Do people attend football games on Labor Day weekend?

  • Yes, they do.
  • The NCAA College Football season starts on Labor Day weekend.
