Are fluorescent light bulbs better for the environment than incandescent light bulbs?

  • Yes, they are.

  • Fluorescent bulbs cost more, but they use less electricity so people save money on their electric bills.

  • Fluorescent bulbs also last longer.

What are solar panels?

  • Solar panels are flat panels that collect energy from the sun and convert it into electricity.

  • Solar panels can be put on the top of houses.


Windmills Collecting Energy

How do wind turbines work?

  • When the wind blows, the blades on the wind turbines turn.

  • This creates power that is turned into electricity.
