1. Name the three branches of the U.S. Government.

Legislative, Executive, and Judicial.

2. Who is the head of the executive branch?

The President of the United States.

3. What group is the head of the judical branch?

The U.S. Supreme Court.

4. What legislative body is the head of the legislative branch?

Congress.

5. What does "checks and balances" mean?

It means that each branch of government limits the powers of the other branches.
